Meet Stephanie Abrams: The woman behind GiveBackNews
"There are so many stories are inspiring and have an impact locally, but unfortunately they're too often dismissed as not newsworthy or not sensational enough to keep the viewer/readers attention. I've always believed our communities deserved better than that, and that there would be an interest in these stories. This small social newscast is more than just applauding good news, as some stories are sad or disturbing, but each story featurs an opportunity to get involved. "Our tagline is 'making a difference one story at a time' because when just one more person hears the story or gets involved, that's what we're doing." -Stephanie Abrams
Stephanie Abrams was a CBS reporter and anchor serving local and national broadcasts for 18 years. Following her work in television Abrams spearheaded the first social media outreach and team development for the Los Angeles Unified School District, where she was responsible for communicating district news to 65,000 employees and nearly one million students and their families. She now runs Give Back PR to help charities and nonprofits struggling to get their messages heard in traditional media. Give Back PR is a division of Abrams Management LLC.
